We place candidates in all kinds of high-quality jobs. We fill light industrial and manufacturing positions, construction jobs, office and admin posts, even management and executive postings. Most of our clients are looking for permanent full-time employees, and we take great care to match potential candidates to rewarding jobs that are right for them.
Does Northwest just put people in temporary jobs, or are there opportunities for longer-term work?
Our focus is on making the lives of our job candidates better, which means matching your desires and skills to the needs of our clients. We provide you with access to a range of opportunities, and whether you want permanent full-time work, a part-time job, or just temporary assignments so you can work when you want to, we will help you get there.
Do I have to take a drug test?
Federal and/or State laws and regulations require many companies to drug test potential employees. Some, but not all, of our client businesses require testing as part of the pre-employment screening process. When needed, our office is equipped to handle this requirement.
When do I get paid?
Northwest follows the normal payroll cycle of its client businesses. Client-approved timecards are submitted to us for processing at the end of the week, and staff is then paid at the end of the following week. We are not a day-labor supplier and do not immediately pay staff at the end of a short-term assignment. A week is always required to process such payments.
What happens if Northwest’s client business wants to put me on their payroll?
At Northwest, we consider that to be a terrific outcome! Both you and the client should let us know ASAP about this welcome news. We will do whatever necessary to expedite the changeover. And don’t worry, there are no minimum time requirements or buyout fees to get in the way of such transitions.
